As some know, Id been wanting a newer bike for a while.

I love my zx6r, but its just getting old, and needs retiring for a while so it can be brought back to decent spec, and then tracked....so never fear, I havent sold it!

(Id actually feel Id be betraying my kwak if I sold her...Sad )

SO, I'd been looking around at bikes with a 3k budget in mind.

At 19, with a total loss theft claim and only 1 years no claims but 3 years riding experience, its fairly frustrating looking at insurance and I pretty much topped myself when the much sought after 2002 'Blade was quoted at 3.5K.....lowest. *sniffle*

On sunday night I typed in triumph speed four just out of curiosity tbh, never actually fancied one, not really thought about em. First result was 30 miles away, and looked.....sexual. I was strangely drawn to it....a few gripes aside (not more powerful etc) I went and viewed it on monday night.

Bought it there and then Laughing

Picked it up last night, and here is my Triumph (*cheers in the background and whistling*) Speed Four, '04 plate, 8,800 miles old, 9 months T and T, Sleek Black, almost fully standard baby, picked up for £2.7k.

It doesnt have the top end my zx6r does, but it has more midrange grunt, and wheelies FAAAAAR better Laughing

In 40 miles of ownership, I've topped 140mph (on a private road) wheelied a hundred yards with SCARY ease Shocked almost got my knee down (but wasnt fully confident in tyres, never had bridgestones before, but am getting used to them quickly) and in a twisty section on the way home, I found out why people worship this chassy Drooling

Fuel injection (first experience of it) rocks so far Mr. Green

Its ugly, but in a full on sexy way. Yeah, I make sense occasionally.

Im off out to rack up some miles Thumbs Up
