Has it always done it since you've owned it or just recently?
There should be an idle screw on the carb that will allow you to adjust the tickover speed. I have no idea where it is but someone will. ____________________ https://www.metacafe.com/watch/1972097/how_to_behave_on_a_forum/ |

As boredatwork has said, The idle screw is a flat headed screw, right in the middle of the right hand side of the carb, turn it clockwise until it idles a bit higher.
Get the engine warm (as it will idle lower when cold unless you use the choke) then turn the idle up to 2.5k, then you can turn it down slowly up until the point were it idles at a fairly low rate (1k/1.5k) without cutting out.
You are aware of how to use the choke arent you?
Cheers

stinkwheel Well I just had my hands up a pigs fanny. Which makes your concerns pale into insignificance. |
