fitting new grips ?

got some new grips for my bike do I ned any adhesive or anything else when fitting or can I just slide them on then re-attach the bar ends ?

No adhesive required, they should be a fairly tight fit, using washing up liquid will help slide them on, after a day it'll just evaporate. There are other techniques too, but fairy works wonders.

Hi

Hair spray is generally recommended for attaching them. Acts as a lubricant to get them on, evaporates quickly and will stick them in place.

I use specific grip glue. It's about a fiver from honda and can be 'unstuck' by using Isopropyl alcohol available from Maplins for about the same.



Then of course you can just use hair spray nicked off the GF Embarassed

Fitted grips on my Fazer a couple of weeks ago using hairspray. Works great.

Just got the fast bike ones, fitted them with the logo's underneath though to look less cheesy Laughing

Only took two minutes to fit and the hairspray method worked a treat Thumbs Up
