I'v seen a srad on ebay i'm quite interested in buying. The seller wan'ts £1400 for it but it's not his name on the V5 as he is a trader, shouldn't be any problem with that should there? Think this is an ok buy? Cheers.

I'm fairly (99%) sure I bought my GS from this guy, I had nothing but problems with it. The clutch gave up about 200 miles after, and from then on problem after problem. I can't find any history not ebay as it was too long ago but I recognise the place and I got it from whitsable. The guy was nice and it all seemed legit but be warned mine was knackered. Probaby my own fault for buying it but it looked fine.

I would check it thoughtly, and find out when it last had a service my oil was very dirty. If when you get there you have to go up a rocky alley to the gate and he has a big garage, with no tools only bikes in it (he had 2 bmw's and an old british thing there when I bought mine) I personally wouldn't buy from him again.

Hi prowler, if the seller is a dealer or trader, ask if there is any warranty with the bike.
Always good to have a look at the V5 just to see how many owners it has had.
You may be able to find out who the last owner on the V5 was, have a word with him, he may give you details of the history of the bike.
An HPI check may help.
