Need a few, Halfords jobbies are shite, so was just wondering if anyone knows a reliable site where I can get some H4 bulbs and some 21w5 capless tail light bulbs?

Cheers,

Wilkinsons.

Weird you can get a full set of bulbs for the same price of a single bulb.

Tail light bulbs? Hmm I had that with the Texaco ones; they would last a day or twwo max. I replaced them with Halfrauds stuff and they've been okay for ages.

<shrug> Who knows, eh? Bloody bulbs.

Hi

Check the battery. Never had a problem with Halfords bulbs (in fact never had a problem with any particular source of bulbs), but a battery on it way out can pop bulbs. So can a failed regulator / rectifier.

All the best

Keith

I believe taillight bulbs can have varying numbers of fine wires supporting the filament. The cheap filling station ones tend to have the bare minimum and as such fail quickly.

Of course, Halfrauds also sell LED bulbs in a variety of fitments. These ought not to fail so readily.

Personally I've never had a problem with Halfords, Wilkinson's, or petrol station bulbs, though my preference is for Halfords Super Brilliance (SB) H4 bulbs and Wilkinson's for everything else. I'll buy from a petrol station if and only if, I'm miles from home and don't have a spare as they're just too darned expensive.
