iridium plugs are useless on 2 strokes. just go for a normal one.
also, buy the new jets. as its a single, it wont need setting up other than the new jets and adjusting the idle. save yourself the money. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. In summery, mattsprattuk is a gobby little sh1tebag, dopehead tw4t, but sadly for all of us, he probably isn't THAT full of sh1te!!

no idea, i would imagine you use a slightly hotter plug, but iridium is designed for 4 strokes. people just use them on 2 strokes as they fall for the fact some people sell them as a ''performance part''
someone else will know. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. In summery, mattsprattuk is a gobby little sh1tebag, dopehead tw4t, but sadly for all of us, he probably isn't THAT full of sh1te!!

hi,
unless your carb is set up perfectly, dont bother with the iridium.
as once fouled- its fucked!
although i did run on an iridium for a while & thought it performed slightly better (probably all in my head, lol)
anyway, recommended plug : NGK BR8 - restricted.
BR10 EG - full power or BR9 "for predominately urban riding"
i found the BR9ES the best for commuting, as i was stuck in traffic a lot & didnt get to use the pv as often as i would have liked!
but if your planning on thrashing it, stick with the br10!
pretty simple enough job,
connect solenoid up,
remove blanking plate & plug in blade,
(do the CDI mod when your at it)
make sure you have a de-catted exhaust!
stick a bigger main jet in (depending on what you have in there now)
cheers,
GAZ |

The point of an exaust valve is to close up at lower revs to increase back pressure and give more power. Having the valve constantly open would have the same effect as not having one at all. Though jamming it open certainly makes the bike FEEL faster, but thats only due to it going shit slow till you hit the power band |
