Battery was flat when I tried to start it, so i got someone to bring a a car battery and jump leads.

There was enough power to put the neutral light on but when i connected the car battery it went totally dead. Could i have blown a fuse?

Any help appreciated

Your 125 is probably a 6v, the car battery was probably 12v. Bikes have fuses to protect components. Find the fuses (probably under the seat) and check for broken ones.

Suzuki intruder will be twelve volt, you have to go back a fair bit to have a 6v bike.

It does sound like you have blown the main fuse though, Try looking under the side covers if its not under the seat.

Am i right in thinking the bike has had problems with a flat battery before?

Have you made any checks of the battery and charging systems?

I think it would be best to get any problem sorted before you get truly stranded and have to push it home.

it sounds like a blown fuse to me aswell. The good thing is a fuse costs penny's so no worry.

You might have accidently touched the jump leads together when connected to the battery. Or the person who helped you might have.

Always carry a kit kat for emergencies such as this Wink when I had a YB100 the main fuse was always going, wrapping it in foil was an effective if risky workaround to get me home on a few occasions Laughing

Thanks for the help charged the battery last night and went over with some fuses.
