I have seen second hand and new bike specific boots on ebay and the like for similar or a little more money than that which i think would do the job a lot better. Even if only because all the necessary protection is there. I've got a pair of (iirc) RST Vertigos which are down to 29.99 in some bike shops sales for example.
Still if they're comfy and you like the look of them then good job
