New to Motocross

Hey all my names will and im looking to start doing a bit of motocrossing with my mate who has just bought a yz250f, i have had a go and it is an awsome bike and i have always been interested in this side of riding but never got the chance to do it, so first things first, i am looking for a 250 crosser, dont mind if 2 or 4 stroke and will have just over 1000 to spend on one, been looking on ebay alot and although i love the sound of the 4 stroke the 2 stroke is just awsome as well, i have ridden many bikes before and know of all the power bands and dangers lol, so anyone who may have one for sale or some advice on where to start with things please post. thanks in advance

My KLR's well within your price range, and ending soon on eBay.

Not an out-and-out crosser, but a good starting bike I think. More a green laner than a crosser. Good for getting muddy and going sideways.

thanks for the offer mate but i need an all out crosser as mine will be used for the track only and maybe a bit of foresting on a rare basis, i cant have all the electrics to go wrong, looks a nice bike though and aint got long left.
