Anyone know who would be dressing in a navy blue uniform very similar to something a security guard would wear, lots of pockets, no insignia or wording that I could see and appear to be carrying batton and what looked like Glock but was presumably a Taser as the grip is similar. Saw him in Merry Hill on Saturday walking to his car (a standard Audi). Can't figure out what he was.

Likely to be a Policeman.

A lot of forces seem to be moving to a para-military type uniform with no insignia for non patrol officers.

Bit stupid if you ask me as people don't realise they are Police officers. I seriously recommend dialling 999 if you see them in future, lets stop the stupidity before someone gets hurt.

Yeah, sounds like a copper. There was a murder just down from my inlaws a few weeks ago. The first on the scene turned up in a silver BMW estate. Looked like Vin Diesel in xXx, as if he was special forces or something. Looked like a right miserable cunt too!

It just seemed very strange to have no markings or writing at all indicating if he was Police, obviously undercover is another matter but he was uniformed so cannot understand why they'd omit Police on the outfit. Even the military wear marked up clothing and particularly when walking around a major shopping centre I'd have thought anyway. Doubt i'll see one again but if I do I might ring the local police and just ask out of curiosity.

The front registration plate on his Audi also had a dealer stamp, which police cars don't have which seemed to indicate it wasn't a police car, yet he was armed.
