just an idea, but could you possibly add a location bit in the for sale section, as alot of people dont post and then we have to pm them?

The people who want there location public usually have it in their profile anyway,so if it's not there then chances are they dont want it public..

Or maybe they just forgot? (noticed you haven't added your location to your profile)

it would be nice to know where i bike is, as i have been interested 3 times, and all are too far away, even if they just put that they are in the NW or SE etc just to give a guidance

It's still useful to have your general location in your profile at least for various other reasons - ie if you're ever asking for help on something, etc.

However, I can say that you're not going to get it.
What we could consider is a 'read me first' sticky at the top with general advice for selling stuff.

Remember this is a public forum firstly! All sorts of people delve around here... dare I say it, Thieves... It's better to ask if you are interested rather than displaying information and getting the wrong sort of attention.

To be fair, just saying the general area isn't going to give much away; Ie even just ZX6R B1 for sale; £2500, Berkshire isn't really going to help thieves but will help out buyers meaning you're more likely to get interested people.

Maybe its just me but the adverts pointing to an Ebay auction are just annoying. Ban 'em.
