respraying my bike

So as I currently have the fron of my bike in red and the rear in blue I thought i might take the opportunity to re-spray the entire bike.

I will do it myself and quite like the idea of a pearlescent paint.

i found this on ebay...

I am a bit dubious about getting a pearl/flip finish myself from a spray can but looking at the feedback it looks ok.

does anyone have any experience?

Does work not bad usually.
the issue id be thinking of is 400ml of paint going to have enough coverage over your basecoat?
and do you have any prior experiance canning it?
as they may look simple to use, but you wont get a finish as good as the picture unless youve got the knack or have prior experiance.

Takes a lot of effort to can spray anything reasonably large and smooth, such as sanding inbetween coats, doing it in a dust free, windless environment. some people have done it and done it extremely well but if it all goes wrong it could be an issue.

I was thinking I would buy 2 kits to make sure i cover it all.

no propper experience just a bit of graffiti when I was young(er)

and some metal work.

The actual prismatic effect paint doesn't need to be sprayed on like a colour coat. I've done bikes where the colour is put on as usual, then I've sprayed the prismatic stuff in the air 2ft above the parts & just let it settle on them before clearcoating.
Did a mates Z1 like that & when the bike is in the shade it looks black, in the sun it looks green from one end & blue from the other..
