I'm back...! Isn't Tomtom great.

Thanks to the loss of my job & thus the loss of my flat & moving back into my parents house for 10 months I had to admit defeat & declare the bike SORN last August, but yesterday it got a new MOT & Tax & today my wife & I rode into London.

I had to do a job near Regent's Park so we decided to ride in, beat the traffic & the congestion charge & enjoy the day. Apart from the absurd prices for a small roll in the park's sandwich hut it was a great day...my wife even treated me to some new boots in J&S in Watford on the way home She even wanted to buy me a new Frank Thomas textile jacket to replace my worn & very heavy leather one, but I decided to wait until next month and get the whole set, jacket, trousers, gloves & possibly a new helmet. As we're planning to use the bike as our main transport & keep the expensive diesel van purely as a work vehicle I'll have to get an all weather jacket ready for the winter.

The bike needs a good wash & polish, but it's running great & it feels good to be out of the van!

Also while I'm on here I'd recommend the Tomtom Rider 2. works brilliantly & even handles phone calls without a problem while riding. I haven't worked out which needs to be turned on first either the tomtom unit or the bluetooth headset as sometimes when I first turn it on it wont pick up the headset but once it does it works great, easy to hear the instructions too.
