Anyone ever got away with going too fast past these fucking things?

how do these work? Cunts inside with sensors in all directions, right?

remotest chance of getting away with it?

I was doing up to 45 in a thirty, a little too spirited on the way home from work, perhaps, but I slowed down when I saw the van and probably was going 35-40 or so when I was level with it. I know that this doesn't matter and the cunts can get you from miles away. I didn't slow down in good time, though, I doubt.

I'm getting pissed off with all of this to be honest. Biking was meant to be fun but all of this is just stressing me out. I'm all for dynamiting the vans, incinerating the cameras, and revenge attacks on the homes of the filth behind all of this surveillance technology. Joke. Really.

I did my good deed for the day and thumbed down for a biker going a lot faster than I was further down the road.

If you were going towards it and it pointing towards you then maybe ok as vans with camera in the back designed to focus on car front number plate. So unless had a mate in the front to take your number. Guy going the other way maybe ok too as I thought they were only to cover one lane (but willing to be corrected).

Just some thoughts.

Most of the time bikes going toward speed vans are ok (going away from is another matter).

If it's rear facing, it won't have got you anyway.
If it's front facing, the person inside has to be arsed to turn around and try and get your place - and it's going to be more hassle to do you because they don't have the standard pic showing the speed with your plate on, etc.

I got done by one of these. The chap inside would have clocked my plate as I went past and I expect they have a proforma statement with regard to them witnessing it.

So just wait and hope for the 14 days!
