Utter pointless shite.

At least they are going for the cheap cunt tactic over the 'it's one step from stealing old womens handbags' shite they were peddling before.

Can they truly be that fvcking stupid? Let's change the words, as will 98% of people who see that advert.

"They're a rip-off company who really take the piss,
With extortionate prices they think nowt's amiss,
Seven dollars in America, fourteen quid here,
but apparantly legitimate why here it's so dear.

Then they think they've a right to bitch when people download,
coz they pretend they can't get the latest Porsche out on the road,
Billions in profit, living life high on the hog,
but still whining like bitches coz Nigel's on the rob."

Fat, greedy, leeching scum.

First post and a generic username. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a script that's been coded to sign up to forums and publicise this (pathetic) video.

Pretty cost effective and you can play the 'viral' card quite nicely.

Nice bit of coding to do the poll automatically too... Thumbs Up

Equating "illegal" downloads to theft is like calling portrait photography soul-stealing.

In reality if that guy in the office did do knock-off dvds then those people would be crowded around him cash in hand ready for the new hancock or Wanted dvd he brought in today.........

I cant believe they actually think this is going to make the slightest bit of fucking difference....

I liken it to shitty anti-smoking adverts, such as that cack one with the fat dripping out the end of cigarettes, would love to see some real life statistics over who quit once they say that...If on the other hand they showed a clip of someone writing about coughing up blood screaming in agony as their lungs gave up and all types of shit coming out of their orifices with their family sat around crying at the horror of what they are witnessing.....well then maybe that would strike more of a chord....

I looked it up and they're not: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/06/06/virgin_media_bpi_deal/

They've agreed to send intimidating letters to people the BPI think are sharing copyrighted material via torrents. Other than that nothing is happening. Funnily enough they don't want to get rid of paying customers.

I'm not sure how they'll verify which torrents contain copyrighted material but I doubt they've got anything particularly sophisticated in place.

Don't we have more important things to worry about then bloody piracy. It'd be at the bottom on the 'things to do' list.

You'd have thought so. But multi-billion pound corporations seem able to get the police to go after copyright offenders like they're murdering child-rapists.

Just another example of the despicable corruption that's rampant in our society, where the rich and powerful get to hog all the police resources, while the working man who's had his bike stolen is told "Sorry, we ain't got the resources, but here's a crime-number..."

Fvcking sh1t-cvnts.

Because virgin keep records of everything you view. They'll then just cut off your service I presume. Loads of people were sent warning letters, it's not just based on your usage stats.

Just watched the advert again.

I reckon Nigel has a good case for harassment in the workplace, bullying, racism, theft and assault.

Agreed - he'll be the only one with a job by the end of the week.

Still, I bet they all feel warm and fuzzy about challenging his unseemly behaviour - that showed 'im, eh?

wont stop anyone from piracy, in real life there would be nobody to sing that song as piracy is commonplace.

who has never downloaded an mp3?, watched a tv program online, even using youtube infringes on copyright protection.

at least its not as bad as it is in america, we may get stupid adverts but at least wee children arnt being sued for millions.

Well that's what the news said would happen if they continued to download stuff after they'd got a snotty letter./shrug.

It's all about ripped stuff off youtube now anyway. Cool
