Its not just me that thinks this is a load of trollop is it?

Personally I feel most people arent reporting lesser crimes due to nothing being done anyway hence a drop in "reported crimes".

Yes it is a load of rubbish.

One of my friends was assaulted earlier in the year, was walking home half cut and was punched in the face. Loads of witnesses but the police refused to record the incident as a crime.

Following the utter lack of interest I got from the police after I'd been burgled and had my bike vandalised twice during an attempted theft I've given up.

I'd only report something if I needed a crime reference number for insurance. Didn't report the attempted theft of my car cos the insurance company didn't need a number.

I would still call the police for a violent crime in progress, but that is about the only thing I'd expect them to turn up for.

I don't think it's the individual officers fault. The whole "law enforcement" system from Government down is just beyond a joke, and I feel sorry for them trying to work in it.

Just think how many other things are target driven, with easily bodged targets.

Friend worked in a local hospital. Their target was to reply to all mail within so many days. Easy solution to part of this was that all post that arrived on a Friday was stamped to have arrived on the following Monday.

All the best

the police do fuck all nowadays, at work there were wee neds (i beleive you would call them chavs) were ontop of the building where there is a carpark hurling glass bottles at people walking along the street.

after having a empty vodka bottle just miss me while using a scooter i phoned the police.

they arrived fairly quickl, about 10 minutes after phoning, gues what they did..... read them their rights.... then left. an hour later they were back at it and when someone else phoned up the police just said that they've already been out there.

the police seem to focus far more on traffic offences now, probobly because fines get them more revenue.

Really?

About a month ago my next door neighbours 16 year old son was shooting an air rifle from his bedroom window at my mother in our garden, we called the police and said that he was shooting at people. A week later two PCSO's turn up to take a statement...... Thumbs Down Evil or Very Mad

I wonder if it had been a different response if I said he was stood outside with a knife?

Nope, but I bet that if you gave the little shite bag the beating he deserved you would have been arrested and made an example of though.

Thats exactly what I was going to say when I read the title. No one bothers reporting them they dont call out anyway.

Sometimes I'd love to, he quite regularly headbuts his sister in the face, he's pulled a knife on her before, he also pushed her off the bottom few steps not too long ago. They're so loud we hear it all through the adjoining wall!

Back in May i told off one of the local scrotes for kicking his football at my car.
5 minutes later his Dad is at my front door, threatening me with a claw hammer - MrsGixer rang the police whilst this was going on.
Took the police 3 days to arrive.
