blade = good.

I have the 07 1000rr, it's the best bike i've had for lazy overtakes and easy speed. Comfy too. Thumbs Up

My completely unbiased view is the GSXR is more rewarding.

I test rode an 06/07 blade last year before I bought my new (current) bike. I actually think the K4/5 Gixers are more comfortable than the blade, the gixer's pegs and bars look worse when you look at them, but somehow it works and lets you spread out a bit. I'm 6'2 and found the blade awfully cramped, especially the peg to seat relationship, back of my knees were killing me!

The blade certainly has more torque, I remember thinking the acceleration in 6th was about as hard as my old thundercat in 3rd.
Back to the GSXR though, I don't think there would be much in it at all if both bikes were bouncing off the red. Both have tremendous braking systems. People say the blade is boring but personally I thought it was a good laugh Very Happy

As for my bike, its torquey compared to a 600 but if you ride these back to back you'll think the GSXR is the same as a 600. It has no bottom end, a healthy midrange which comes on like a switch (nothing, nothing and we're away) and a screaming top end, whereas the blade has power everywhere.

GSXR for me Thumbs Up

Missing the midrange from the SV ? Razz .

What about a 1000cc V-twin? RSV Mille (01/02) can be had for £3k for a minter.

Very nice mate, shame you went for the slower blue and white model (black and yellow has an extra twelveteen bhp), but it looks lovely all the same Thumbs Up
