Well it was on Ebay for almost a week.
The other day a Lad came round to view it. Offered me a sum which I wasn't willing to sell the bike for, And would of actually preferd to keep it than let it go so low.

Got a text a few days later with a more reasonable offer from the same guy.
I was happy to let it go for said price, I knew it was going to a lad who really wanted it, His eyes lit up when he saw it and after his test ride he came back with a mega grin. So Happy days!

Today he came round to buy the bike, Paid Cash, Oh its nice to have a second bulge in your pants on the way to the bank! Cool

He came with his mate who had an R6, His mate took the bike for a spin round the bock, Came back and used the kill switch to turn it off. I NEVER use the switch, so when the buyer jumped on the bike to ride away, the thing wouldn't fire. It was just turning over and over. I was like OMGZZZZ, I thaught her we go, They arent going to want it etc.

Then the Geezer on the R6 leaned over and flicked it to "on".

Embarassed

Just before he rode away, he asked where I keep the tax disk.
I started saying "Oh, Its bolted to the left hand brake caliper mount just here....."

And as I turned the bars I was greeted with a shiney sharp piece of metal which was the remaining lug from my tax disk holder.

Some thieving bastard has done away with my tax disk!
So I had to explain it to the lad buying it, told him I will contact the Post office or whatever, get a new one and post it on for him.
I felt like a right tit!
I wouldn't mind but it was on there last week when he came to view it as I remember cleaning the brake dust off it!
Ive ridden it twice since then, Once with my girlfriend to a bike meet, And to work today. Confused

Anyway, Heres to the NC29, Gone but certainly not forgotten. My first "real" bike, The machine i've learnt everything on.

Ahh bless, see your bike on eBay funny enough. Sticking pictures of your missus on there, cunning ploy to attract young men me thinks. Thinking

Said good bye to my type R today, like you, the bloke that bought it had eyes like saucers when he see it and had a spin in it. I only got a bankers draft for mine. More than £7,000 would have been a pain in the ass to count and it wouldn't have fit in my pocket anyways.

So, when you getting another one?

How long did it take you to sort everything out from the very start? Are you going to be doing the same job there?

Started February I think? They estimate a 9 month time frame.

Its the red tape that slows things down as does the distance for correspondence, and yes I'll be working as a registered nurse.

Both the wife and I have completed a course in the administration of injectable denervation also known as BOTOX, so would be nice to start doing this on the side and expand to a clinic on the beach or something.

I know that it would be futile to get another car or bike in the meantime but I've got money to burn and needs and yurnings. I keep telling myself that I'll get a Busa or Ducati when we get out there so all in good time I suppose?

It went for £1300. But I skipped a good £50 odd Ebay and possibly paypal fees through ending the auction early.

I personally thought it was worth more, but if you look at ebay/400gb forum, The going rate is sub 1300£ Sad

I didn't spend money on it to sell it.
I built it over the winter, And about 2 weeks ago, I decided that a, Its too small for me. 400s are great little sports bikes, But far too under powered for me and my girlfriend.
And b, My debts come before the bike unfortunately. Selling the bike has made me probably £200 a month better off.

As soon as ive got enough money, I will be getting another bike, For the time being I'm after a bike, ANYTHING, must be dirt fucking cheap though. I just need something to transfer my insurance onto so I can keep my NCB going.

At the end of this years policy I will have maximum NCB (5 years)

Ive been looking at those road legal pit bikes, Can pick them up for about £300.

Failing that, I will buy a V5 and a frame for £40 off ebay and insure that!
Laughing
