I've got a couple of long journeys coming up and wondered if it would be worth buying some form of petrol additive to flush out the system a bit?

That's if I'm right in thinking that they do that sort of thing Confused

Waste of money this day and age as the fuel has everything you need in it. Fuel is watered down with detergents that's why the roads foam after it rains.

You could allways run through a couple of tanks of BP Ultimate or V Power.

The point being? They only have a higher Ron rating. Confused

Petrol wont clean your carbs out like redex does,
otherwise surely redex is a placebo product and it wouldnt still be in business after all these years surely?

Redex does make a difference, although it may be more obvious on a 50cc 2T than a 600cc 4T.

The difference I got was certainly real, sorted it right out.

The best product by far is that Cataclean from the sky shopping channels.

I have tested it on my old Astra and it really does work. I will be using it in my Toyota come next MOT as the cat converter is on it's last legs.

The idea of it is to mix it with little fuel as possible then go for a 15-30 min ride/drive.
