I've just been abroad on my bike and I had Pirelli Diablo Stradas fitted before I went. I usually have BT014s, which are really good, but I knew wouldn't last long enough (I usually get about 2k out of the rear)

The Stradas have been really really good. I've done probably 3500-4000 miles on them, still a bit of life left in the rear, front looks untouched. Not only that, they are grippy too, and really confidence inspiring.

I was going to try the sports touring version of the Michelin Pilots (Forget what they're called), but the guy who does my tyres recommended these, and he's always been right about tyres in the past so I trusted him.

Different tyres suit different riders/bikes, but I don't think you can go far wrong with Diablos.

How would diablos compare to my current 208s or to the replacement of a 209?

I couldn't possibly comment, I've never ridden with Dunlops of any description. I'm sure someone will come along soon with an answer to that.

Got any pics of your bike ?

I can't fault Diablos I've had fitted in the past. The 015s feel a little better on the bike's front end, but the difference is probably all in my mind. I'd probably switch to a Diablo front, Diablo Strada rear combo I had on my R6 once the Bridgestones have worn out.

I must be getting old, but for commuting at least, I couldn't feel that much difference between the Strada and the Diablo I had fitted on the rear of the Yamaha.

Tires made out of cheese would be better than 208's, they're called dundeaths or dunslips or dunlop ditch finders or dunslops for a reason. Diablos are a massive inmprovement, I went from 208's to diablos on my ninja and it felt like a new bike after. Got about 4k out of the rear with a fiar bit left. definetly worth a try

I went from 208's to Diablos on my Buell, and it was like I bought a new bike. It was that much of a difference. In a good way!

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

what diablos are you talking about ?, you could have the dialblo "rossa" or "supercorsa" or "corsa 3"

The corsa 3's seem to be a pretty good tire for both road and track. The guy who runs a track school near me uses them as they last longer and seem to have plenty of grip for most poeple.

think the supercorsas were called "dragon" before but are now called "diablo supercorsas'.
I just bought a set of dragon supercorsas in SC 2 compound as they were cheaper than the latest diablo supercorsas.

i had 208 rr's before but they would slide pretty easy coming out of slowish corners if you were heavy on the trottle. Nothing major, just enough to let you know to be more carefull next time.

With the sc 2 you can lay on the power sooner and harder although i've been told they don't give you much feedback when they're about to go until your on your ass.

i currently ave dunlop 208 on rear of my r1, never again, no control of bike on a wet road, hate it, ave used a diablo before and had no problems but total confidence in BT014's. Smile

Agree with all of you.

Dunlops are THE SHITTEST TYRES ever.

I fitted 014s because my dealer had them in stock and after a rideout with my mate who had Diablos, when we stopped the diablos felt slightly warmer and stickier.

Thinking I might go for Diablos too next time.

Corsa III's on me monster and they seem pretty bloody good. I also rate 2CT's which seem to last a bit better.
