hi

slight repitition, but ive tried all the answers in the other threads to no avail.

have a t reg 600 bandit, in ok-ish nick.

starts fine on choke, choke in after a few minutes, idles around 1.5 to 2k and fine.

however, last few days, after a good while on the bike, get in to traffic and more start /stop situation and it starts cuting out.

and once its started, litterally every time the bike stops so does the engine.

putting the choke back on makes no difference.

ive up'd the idle, it could go further but im not convinced idling constantly a 2.5k revs is a good idea.

i've looked at the (outer) spark plugs, they seem ok. electrics on bike seem alright generally, lights dont dim/flicker etc.]

im flumoxed. its been warm round here so maybe its overheating but i have no idea, haynes has not helped me and its getting annyoing now..

help as always really appreciated
ta

Does the bike try and creep forward when you're in first gear with the clutch pulled completely in?

not that i've noticed.

i'll be double attentive tonight on the way home but at this point i'd say no.

EDIT: just got home, no it doesnt do that, i even tried revving the engine in first, with the clutch in and no creepage...

but it did do the same thing, so away nice and sunny no stalling till 45 mins ish thru and then everytime i stop....so does the engine.

got home it was struggling to idle around 1k-ish,have now i
upped idle turning the screw as far as i can make it its now idling at circa 1k, bit rough though..

Little update incase this is ever useful for someone else

Ok

last night i emptied out the pipe with the overflow from the air box and also the draining of the carbs (the allen screws underneath) lots of water came out

i also upped the idle while the engine was cold - it meant i could turn it properly.

this morning, no stalling -although idle far to high. will lower tonight and see how it is on way home
