Hey Guys!

I tried mounting my radar detector on Velcro to the windshield of my R6…it fell off during one of the rides…didn’t break though…just a couple of cracks Wink
I was also thinking of installing GPS as well ..can’t find any good solution for power and mounting brackets. What’s out there? What do you, people use? What are good mounting points?
Also, would be nice to be able to power my mp3 player….

Thanks, for the feedback!

I use a tank mount and it`s perfect (for gps/satnav).
It wouldn`t be the best option if you`ve not got a bluetooth connection though....a yoke mount would be better if you need to keep looking at the directions.
Mine came with a powercord too that wires straight to the battery.
(garmin zumo 50)

hi
you can wire in a 12v socket extension lead which are normally used in a car to power it, 2 if one is for your mp3 player
(see here for lots of info: https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=110815 )
and as for mounting it - google 'GPS warehouse and search the RAM mounts, they do lots of options. i have mine coming up from the master brake cylinder then up 3 inches and then the sat nav sits there and can be faced most directions easily. there is also the option to add an mp3 holder too.
