hey.
I've got an L reg ZZR600 - it's an E1 model and its fine. everything works ok and everything. including the back brake.
the problem i have, i swhen i have a pillion my rear brake decides not to work. its fine if its just me, but with a pillion its not. the problem isnt it wont work at all - if you keep pumping the lever it starts to firm up and work, then leave it and it stops working again. this is a huge problem as with a pillion i need to rely on my back brake a lot more and it wont work so its difficult.

notes:
- the pads are low, but as it works when im on my own that should be ok?
- i recently had a small off, during which i snapped my right hand side footrest off, i replaced this and swamped the brake stuff onto the new one (on the ZZR there's a small chamber which sits on the the back, just below the heel plate and i had to use the old one) but again, as the brake is fine with just me on the bike i cant understand why i have a problem when there's a pillion? [i cant really remember if this problem was before my small fall or if it has only happened after it!)

thanks for any help
calum.

not since the problem - i have thought about it just been a bit busy lately. would that really only cause a problem with a pillion though?

the extra weight on the bike might be niping the brake lines on the swing arm try having a look when the pillion pessanger is on the back

thanks. i dont think it is because of the way the line runs it's 'free' except where it goes through a loop on the swinging arm - but there's enough room there and shoudlnt be able to pinch. i'll ave to get a pillion on it and someone to hold the bike up for me to have a look properly soon.
