I bought a new hyosung xrx 125 sm and am quite happywith it. I used to learn on a Honda cb400 and used to use engine brake alot ( which was very smooth). A question is :is it normal on a 125cc single cylinder that engine brake is a bit shuddering (being single cylinder)?

Yeah mate, it will be abit more rough, especially if you knock it down a gear to much.

Aye it will do, i engine break alot on my 650 single Thumbs Up But if you do it at low revs it will shudder. I change down at around 2-3k revs to keep the revs high and engine braking high. If that makes sense at all.
