The bolts have to be undone in order to get the can off, to remove the broken bolts.
Spray the remaining bolt with WD40 and use a socket on it. Apply constant pressure and wait for it to budge. If the others snapped off, it's pretty certain that one will too.
You have a choice for removing the snapped bolts:
Mole grips
File flats on and use a spanner
File flats on and use mole grips
File 6 flats on and use a socket
Buy a stud extractor and try that (they need quite a bit of space to work)
Take it to an engineering firm and let them worry about it/drill the bolt out and retap the thread
Listed in order in which i would try them  |

well bolts snapped and the can refuses to budge at all, meant to be a simple twist to get it off but no luck.
bike garage said that its probobly bonded and would be easier to just get a replacement can, except there dam expensive
any suggestion on what to try? ____________________ Current Bikes RVF400 - 94
