Honda Hornet 600 - Needs Work

It seems a valve has dropped on my Black '98 Hornet and the engine is on its way out, or in need of some TLC,

Before i go down the engine transplant route or brake the bike for spares im interested to see if anyone would be interested in it as is.

Bad Bits:
-Engine may need a new piston on the number 1 cylinder
-The Exhaust is also ever so slightly blowing and could do with a new system (it could be welded)
-Battery could do with a charge or replacement
-Overall Tattyness, Things like non-standard pillion footpegs

Good Bits:
Is Taxed and M.O.T.'d for 10 months
Frame is fine, Wheels, Swingarm, Rear Shock, Tank all good
New Chain + Sprockets
New Front Tyre
New Pads on the front
Discs are fine
Goodridge Hoses on the Front
R+G Crash Bungs
Renthal Bars
Standard Headlamp
Forks seals have no leaks

Thats just a provisional list off the top of my head


I will most likely end up finding an engine and swapping them over, but for the sake of less hassel and perhaps a little extra cash towards another bike i would be open to offers around £400-500 to take the bike off my hands, would be an ideal project or donor bike, or just a fixer-upper.
