Is it worth buying a back protector even if i'm riding a 125 and only doing local routes every day?

I'm asking because i've got 20% off any knox back protectors and so was thinking about getting the contour one in the camo colours but i still need to buy the rest of my kit first like jacket and boots.

Yes, I did I commuted 15 miles each way each day on my 125cc for three months in all the gear. Got knocked off my 1000cc filtering at 20mph with boots on and still broke my foot, but my back was lovely and comfy as I lay waiting for the balance-car. Give yourself the best chance you can and buy a back protector, up to a point you can't stop it happening but you can manage the risk and reduce the damage. Penny Coin Penny Coin

Yes, as above. A crash at 40 is a crash at 40, no matter what you're riding. I have something from Knox resembling the ones at the top of this page inside my textile jacket. Just got the Knox hip armour to replace the foam padding in my trousers too for £10. So that's shoulders, elbows, spine, hips and knees sorted. Thumbs Up

you can live with a broken arm (no wanking for a while) or a broken leg (no footie for a while) but your back and head should be protected at all times no matter the size of machine Wink

Thats interesting i didn't know you could replace the pads in your jacket with armour. You learn something new everyday
Thumbs Up

Infinity still have some on offer, but you'll need to size them up first as per neil's link to Knox.
