Nokia 6210 navigator Sat Nav phone ????

I have just got this and I have used it on foot and in my car and it works a treat !!!!

I wouldn't trust anything less than a clamp and bolt deal on the bike.

I tried a cheapo satnav I borrowed from work on the ZZR once, fixed it in place and it seemed strong enough to the point where I could practically pull the bike off the side stand with it.

30 minutes of vibration later and it went flying, best catch I ever made

If I wanted satnav on the bike for cheap, I'd snap up a Benefon Twig for like 30 or 40 quid, its all hard plastic and the rear half of the shell comes clean off making it easy to mod it into place properly, if it does get broken or goes flying, it's hardly the end of the world at that price.

might just buy an Oxofrd Magnetic tankbag with one of those clear top pockets instead

anyone know how hard it would be to attach a 12V cigarette style power supply unit to the bikes electronics for attaching mobile chargers and sat navs etc ???

I was wondering about satnavs on bikes. So I take it there's no hard-and-fast magic solution that everyone uses then?

I've got an O2 XDA Orbit with TomTom on it that I use in my car, and was kinda hoping there'd be a similar bike solution. Oh well... I like the idea of the clear map pocket.

The tank bag approach is ok as long as you're programming the thing in advance and relying on audio throw an earpiece to guide you. You might find you struggle to read the display on a sunny day though, making it take up far more of your attention than is reasonably safe imho

Your far better off getting a proper fitting from someone like Ram mounts.
