So begins the Divvy streetfighter.
Currently looks like this
https://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/stevie__d/DSCN1033.jpg
https://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/stevie__d/SP_A0095.jpg
Minus the bikini fairing.

Plan is Twin disc forks with r6 master cylinder + blue spot calipers so it will actually stop.
Fz6 swingarm + rear wheel for a fatter back tyre instead of the puny 130 should get a minimum of 160 of there.
Got a enduro headlight on order.
Custom rear subframe with Ducati 916 race seat unit + smoked lights with intergrated indicators.
Hopefully an r6 tank but I don't think it will fit tbh.
Ally undertray + side panels to cover electrics.
Maybe an underseat exhaust.
New engine, maybe something bigger but more than likely standard, painted black.
Paint- bodywork + wheels, maybe frame +swingarm.

Will update when stuff gets done.

looking at the list of stuff you're getting (or planning to) shot of it sounds like you would be better off just buying a frame and book then starting from there

Tbh, it sounds good on paper, but its going to cost alot to be done correctly and you've listed, twin disc front with blue spots... For that you would need new forks too, As for the engine, in that frame? you sure?

Yea the engine is a bit of a pipe dream at the moment, but we will see what happens. But the engine in it at the moment has done 56k and burns a lot of oil and now the clutch is on its way out. Just easier IMO to buy a new engine. Can get a standard one for about 200 pound with 28k.

Forks off a later model Diversion fit straight on as do blue spots, and I have an R6 which I'm stealing them off for now.

Basically stuff I have already bought;
Ducati seat unit
Forks front wheel yokes discs
fazer back wheel and swingarm, the swingarm needs 2.5mm machining off each side to fit into the diversion frame but fits a much wider tyre.
Headlight + brake light.

I've been buying parts for a few months now, only things left to buy are
A tyre for the back wheel
fazer rear calliper + rear spindle.

Ah this should be good.

Just a thought, might not be much power gain but would a divvy 900 fit without much bother? Obviously if you were going to go for an engine transplant you'd probably want something with a bit more poke but I was just wondering really!

Please replace the stock bars. I got some Renthals for mine and they felt a million times better than the narrow stock bars.

Lots of updates and pictures please!

EDIT: Re: clutch - check the thrust bearing, went on mine and basically made the clutch non existant.

Well the subframe and seat is done. I'm sitting on plastic at the moment. Need to get some foam.
and yes it hurts, alot.
But its too dark to take a picture Will get one in the morning for you.

Yeah definatly changing the bars, either to renthals or drag bars, my yokes arrived today so I can fit the new twin disc forks at the weekend but will stay as single disc for now.

I think thats all I can do for a while though because next months pay is being used to insure my R6 mot tax chain + sprockets ect, but may get something done at the end of next month with whatever money I've got left.

Excuse the shite quality phone pics and the chicken strips and the bald back tyre Very Happy
Haven't been out for a fun ride in about 4 months, just commuting, and my insurance runs out on the 19th so I can't be bothered to change the tyre plus should have a 160 section on the back soon.

https://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/stevie__d/Picture0026.jpg?t=1232652235
https://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/stevie__d/Picture0025.jpg?t=1232652273
https://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/stevie__d/Picture0027.jpg?t=1232652295

Seat is a bit higher than I wanted, but its alright. Number plate is temporary, will be mounted as far back on the undertray as I can get away with.
Got a smoked ducati back light which I'm fitting at the moment

R6 blue spots fit straight on with standard discs, boths mounting points are exactly the same IIRC its 90mm.

And have a sound clip https://s72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/stevie__d/?action=view¤t=DSCN1128.flv

Cheers for that Dave, definatly getting a set of them.

I could steal them, but my insurance runs out on the 19th of feb and it will be taken off the road then to do the back wheel + swingarm, so I'd just have to swap them back again.

Btw... Blue spot calipers don't fit.

The mounts on my divvy are like 9.5 cm apart, and the blue spots are 10.5cm.

Really???
Shit sorry man, its all over the Diversion forums that they fit no probs, and I've measured the mounting points on mine and they are the same on mine??

Edit
Just been and measured up.
The mounts on the single disc forks are 10.5mm the twin disc forks are 8.5mm.

Wank, sorry about that, if you don't want your calipers I'll buy them off of you for whatever you paid for them when I get paid.

blue spot calipers are 100mm centers on the mounts, early fzr forks have 84mm centers for the calipers(twin piston calipers),later ones are 100mm(sumoto 4 pots).
i made the same mistake with the forks when i converted my tdr 250 to twin disc

Don't worry about it, I paid £53 for the calipers, goodridge braided lines, master cylinder and lever. + £10 postage.

Drop me a pm when you get paid, I should still have them.
