Basicly sometime before september 1st im going to be moving out of home, with the help of my dad ive done a spread sheet and at the end of the month i get a figure of -£9.92

So basicly im living at a loss and thats without adding anything unthough of.

Obviously this isnt do-able but ive heard somewhere that i can get assistance from the government to help me pay my rent.

I'll be living in shared accomodation and i must be withing the wage parameters to qualify for funding.

Anybody got any idea roughly how much i can get?

Id ring the council and ask but im working 9-6 tommoro and im meant to be paying the deposit on the house at 7pm tommorow so im not going to have a chance to see if i can actualy afford the place Confused

cheers

Might give you some idea - your council website might have a similar calculator.

Hi

If you are under 25 and single you ae paid according to the cost of a single room in a shared house (shared bathroom/ kitchen) in your area. This is rate is calucalted by the council.

If you rent somewhere more expensive than that you make up the difference.

You first need to ask the council for a Pre-tenancy determinations (download form here) this will work out how much they are likey to pay so you know before you rent somewhere. It can take a couple of weeks

From the rent allowance you get deductions based on income and what the rent includes.

(see here

other general info

Remember to caluclate the cost of bills, possible increase in bike insurance and to buy contents insurance.

Regards
Charlotte
