Took a few pics of my NC29 yesterday going to start the makeover soon so these are before shots Very Happy

I have just changed the front pads, oil, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter cleaned the carbs and had them balanced plus a new battery and modified reg/rec so its running tip top.

My plans are to repaint the engine covers, then a fork rebuild by K Tech powder coat the fork legs, calipers, top and bottom yokes, clipons, steering head, rearsets, side stand, clutch / gear, and both wheels, and recoat the downpipes. already got a new rear tyre and CBR600 shock to fit. Will give the frame and swingarm adn good clean with some autosol while evetrythings stripped !!!

CBR6 rear shock is an awesome mod! Thumbs Up

Do the engine covers black, But keep the Inspection plugs polished. And polish the "Honda" off too. Thumbs Up

Not overly a fan of the Paint job, Nor do I particularly like any stock NC29 paint job. the VFR's had some awesome paint schemes, but it seems Honda cut back when it came to nice paint jobs for the CBRs.

Good to see its still got its fake ram air vents in situ. Thumbs Up

Heel plates certainly need to go if they are the ones I think they are.
Stock Honda Fireblade ones fit (old style 900 fireblade)

Other than that, Its a nice tidy example of an NC29. Reminds me of my VFR actually, That was 100% mint and totally standard apart from the end can and an MPH convector.

Cheers Metalforever. Alot of hard work and time went into my NC29. I miss it too. Crying or Very sad

They stopped making the NC29s in 1996 I believe.

Highland biker, Yes I sold my bike last month for £1300. Was absolutely gutted watching the lad ride it away. Really didn't want to see it go. Meh. Sad

Metalforever, Go for a Honda over a Kwak.

No doubt you will be replacing the head gasket when you get a Kwak. Laughing
