bike sounds better in the rain

i find in the rain my bike sounds and rides so much smoother, the exhaust noise is better to, with a deeper sound. why is this and does anyone else notice this?

probably because your engine is running lean usually and the moisture in the air, reduces the amount of oxygen going into the engine meaning a more balanced mixture.

Someone please back me up as I know it sounds good but not 100% sure.

When it has rained, there is moisture (and so oxygen) in the air and so makes the engine run more efficiently (i.e. when the air is mixed with the fuel there is more oxygen within the air).

I particularly like the noise of raindrops evaporating off the muffler while I'm parking it up.
