how comes crash helemts with wipers never took off?

today i could've done with one the rain was that heavy

Some gloves have a special surface under them for wiping rain off the helmet. You can also get sprays that repel water so it runs off more easily.

buy rain-x, they had the wipes in home bargains for 99p a tub not so long ago.

I saw it on Dragons Den,

I also thought it was a bit silly.

It would probably cost a small fortune as an accesory.

If my visor gets that wet I just turn my head and let the wind push it off.

Cost and the market for it is probably what stopped it taking off.

Same as a prescription visor for those who have to ride with glasses etc Could be done but probably not cost effective.

I could see a use for it in slow city riding for example when the wind doesn't blow it off.
When I've ridden in the city during the rain I can't decide whether to open my visor (and have to blink every 0.1 seconds) or close it and risk not being able to see shat all as my visor is just covered.
I end up riding with it open a bit at the bottom.

Although I guess these chemicals you spray on would maybe be more useful than a slow wiper.

I've got a shoei xr1000, i'm really impressed with it's bad weather performance - the stock visor does a great job of repelling water and the anti-fog system is great. I did quite a bit of city riding over the weekend and never once felt i had any serious trouble seeing.

Do you wipe them with your gloves without stopping? Sometimes it worsen your sight. Green juice spread over the visor . And it soak into your left glove .
I carry telephone card and scrape with it. On a motorway, I do it without stopping. A little bit tricky though.
My worst experience was motorway in a rice field. I saw a cloud of grasshoppers in front of me. I washed my lid at toilet.
How do you cope with crashed bugs?
