Hi there?

I'm getting bored of my constant what bike now posts - so I can only apologise to you!!

At the moment I'm looking at the 2 bikes listed in the title - test rides to occur later in the week - both are about the same price including 33bhp restriction. The Suzuki is newer and has immobilser etc.
I was just wondering if one handled restriction better than the other - ie which one would be more fun in the general opinion?

cheers

( I know opinion is nothing comapred to how I enjoy the ride - but looking for info)

twins handle restriction better as they have more lower end torque.

GS is a twin
divvy is an IL4

IL4's dont take restriction so well.

plus divvys look gay anyway Razz

Can only vouch for the divvy, not tried the gs.

The divvy is a great unforgiving bike, if you're lazy in changing gears it won't even care. Although you can open the throttle up and get quite a bit of fun out of them. Will beat most things off the lights too.

Very well built bike, and they tend to be well looked after for the price.

Learned on a GS500e, bought a Divvy after the test. The Divvy felt bigger, more robust and had about 10 more horses under the tank. As my instructor said, the GS is only just about powerful enough to qualify for the full A test and "Can't pull the skin off a rice puddin' ", though I whizzed past one on my VFR the other day as I was heading to Buckingham which had rider and Pillion.

A divvy will work better once the washers come out of the engine and will carry two quite happily.

Yh i can only say the divvy is any good because my dad had one and it never failed him and he did 80miles a day to and from work and it always worked never broke down and spares could get easy to get. He reckoned it was the best bike he ever had.

Cheers Tom
