They do actually do this in the PRC:

https://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article4518226.ece

Precis:

Councils and health authorities are to be given the right to access e-mail and internet records under surveillance powers to be introduced next year, the Home Office said yesterday.

Although first proposed to tackle terrorism and serious crime, powers have been extended to cover other criminal activity, public health, threats to public safety and even prevention of self-harm

Though of course the government have been doing this already but in secret....and that the government is inept and the 150mil earmarked for this will end up being 3 decimal places wrong.

HALT PAPIER BITTEN!

All I care about the new film is if it's got Lena Headey in it. If so, I'm there...

Actually, it'll be interesting to see if they can top the previous films.

Just wait for it to rename to the Ministry of Observation.
Then there'll be two-way monitors/cameras in our homes back to the Ministry...
Then there'll be state-run calisthenics we have to do because some bod thinks that's the way to prevent illnesses, and we'll be observed if we're doing it right...
Then they'll streamline and simplify the language to make it understandable to all, immigrants or natives...
Then we'll be referred to as the proles...
And then it'll be 1984!

Well, half tongue-in-cheek there. The last 7 years in the west has seen a remarkable deterioration in hard-won civil liberties and a general slide into the Orwellian nightmare. Anyone disagreeing can just read about Guantanamo. Middle Finger

I hope someone sees sense sometime soon and changes things back to an acceptable level of insanity. But then maybe my attitude is part of the problem: somewhere, sometime, etc?

mmm rat burger...

as ste said, in the last film and the tv series, he goes on the run and leaves no trace of himself on any government system (he basically doesnt exist) so skynet cant track him down and send terminators after him.

I think our sewers are abit small to live in. Not even big enough to carry big american sized turds.
