Iron Disks? Worth it for the hornet?

The Hornet cup bike needs new disks, I can get an ABE set for £99, or a cast iron PFM set for £185, so the iron ones are double the price.(I'm pretty sure the prices are per disk).

Are the cast iron ones that much better than steel for a race bike. I'm not sure which pads I'll be putting in it, but I suspect it'll be Bendix, Vesrah or something, although I'm open to suggestions......
