Loud squeeking noise when i go above 45mph!!

hi i have a yamaha aeroc, its de restrcited in the variator but the exhaust is all satndard when i go down hill and reach speeds of about 47 and 50+ it starts making a high pitch sqeeking, can anyone think of whats causing this?
i dnt no if its faital

slipping belt probably.
a bit like a slipping fan belt on a car.
