Break/sprain/bruise your ankle then?

Taking advantage of the good weather, I tried to phone around to get some tyres fitted. First place didn't get back to me, 2nd didn't have any in stock and then Essential Rubber quoted me £110 for a rear, £85 for a front (conti road attack) - They couldn't do a pair deal - what a fucking joke!!!

And to top that off, I tried to fit my givi rack today, piss easy job. Or so it should have been. Messy suzuki weld on the subframe means I need a grinder/drill to get it to fit. Which I don't have!

Cunted.

looks like you're having similar luck to me then!

My bike's been off the road for nearly 2 weeks now following 2 small repairs, but now that's all sorted (thanks 'Kickstart'!) and then when i took it out, i realised my tyre tread was lower than i thought - metal low! tried ecerywhere locally, but no where seems to have the dunlop roadsmarts in stock - so im still off the road until wednesday! which is expected to rain, so i'll be on a new pair of tyres, new profile etc, all shiny and wet greasy roads! feck.

as for fitting a rack, i've had troubles putting mine on before - three out of the bolts went in really easy - the last did not - no matter which one was last. stupid things!

so, add me to the 'pissed off over bank holiday' list cos im stuck at home with no bike to ride and i had only just been thinking of buying a small tent and sleeping bag and riding off to a national park for a couple of days. not now. bastad.

hope you're ok after our fall though.
