Title says it all really. When is the best time of year to buy a 2nd Hand Bike? Or is it all pretty much the same?

I was thinking maybe winter as christmas/sunday riders selling off/ dealers need turn over.

If so I better start a saving surge, I guess I have about £1.5k and my ER5 to trade in, hoping for another grand. Looking for a Hornet, a cbr 600 or a 650 BMW (not sure why about the last one.)

November. The fairweather fannys need the money for Xmas and they look at the bike that's sat unused in their garage for the last 2 months, and the next time they'll ride it is still 6 months away...

Late autumn, early winter. Watch out for worn-out consumables though.

Depends what bike you want though.

Bikes that tend to become winter hacks are cheaper when approaching summer months.

Vice versa for the, bikes that are for sunny Sundays.

I would say, shiney bike in the winter, rat/hack bike in the summer.

Rat bikes go down in price in the summer, and the opposite for shiney bikes.

For a shiney bike, I'd agree that November to January is a good time to buy a bike.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
