Hi, I'm finally selling my CB500! I got the bike about 3 years ago just after I'd passed my test - spent 2 years on it restricted to 33bhp (washers and certificate still available) and then only a further 6 months before I wanted something bigger; So I stayed with the family and got a 98 CBR600!! Fantastic bike! I was planning on keeping the CB forever as it's been a beautiful bike to ride but I've found that I was using it less and less (due to the CBR) and then the tax, mot and insurance came round for renewal and due to financial constraints I decided not to renew.

This means the bike is without tax or mot, I can't get taxed without being insured and I can't get MOT'd without tax - And there's no way I'm paying for a years insurance for the sake of £50 quid or so. I used to get the bike MOT'd without fail or issues for about £20-25 and the _YEARLY_ tax is now only £33 (check DSA website).

Here's some info:

L-Reg (1994),
500cc,
54,000 Miles,

Nice tidy bike,
Great all rounder,
Perfect First "Big" Bike,

Solalarm 108,

New Plugs,
New Battery,
New chain and sprockets,
New rear-tyre,

Slight damage to left side of engine where paint has come back,

Choke lever broken but choke still usable,

Motad Stainless Exhaust system,
Miniature indicators,
Luggage Rack,

There are images available at: https://picasaweb.google.com/lightfoot256/CB500

I recieved the bike with approx 30,000 miles and have since done the 24,000 miles over the last 3 years which is a nice tidy number for this little commuter.

It's had services every 4-8,000 miles including oil, filter and plug changes. It's also recently been fitted with new chain and sprokets and a new tyre.

There are spare wheels available for an extra £65 - perfect for getting new tyres fitted without disrupting your riding and a spare tank available for £35; I was about to start a project just before I got the CBR so ended up with spare bits :-p.

There's also _just_ the plastic part to a belly pan for this thing; It has been damaged and then fixed, so that's available for another £20 (the item as new cost me £65!!!)

So there is it. Available for contact on either: 07894 651 139 or email; ** lightfoot256 (at) googlemail (dot) com

I'm based in Hoyland, Barnsley. Less than a minute off of J36 on the M1.

Cheers,
Chris
