Wasnt that damaging
but i was going through car park at work in the dark
and in the middle of the gravel was a groove i didnt see

sods law wheel slides away i come flying off and managed to bang my knee and land on my cracked rib Thumbs Up

i didnt get hurt but my bike suffered a worse fate Sad

As said at least your ok.
Don't let it knock your confidence, try to learn from where you went wrong if anything, sounds like it was just bad luck.
Don't worry about insurance, just get it fixed up out of your own pocket if thats what you want to do, will save your insurance when you upgrade.
