Foxes are beautiful animals, it's brilliant that hunting has been outlawed. How would we like it if we were being chased by gorillias mounted on the backs of Tyrannosaurus Rexs with a heard of Rhino after us?!

And now there population is booming with no natural predators, they kill livestock and spread disease plus are becoming a major pest in towns and cites.

I find most who are against hunting don't know a damn thing about it, purely just go "aww, but the pretty little foxy woxy things".

And like most laws, it hasn't made a blind bit of difference and is quite unenforceable, so just wasted everyones times basically.

They should have been left to carry on hunting the way they always have. Ask how many of those protesting it actually have a valid reason i.e. a practical use for needing foxes about rather than just being a bandwagon jumper for a cute animal.

You will find most farmers/land owners quite happy to offer the use of their land for hunting as they want rid of these pests.

I like foxes, but last week I was up at 3.30am on my old dear's small-holding in lincs to try and snipe the fvcker who's been eating her cocks and chickens. Three and a half hours later I gave up, next morning another chicken went. Mad

As for the hunt, that's not about controlling the fox population, it's about a bunch of inbred cretins hooraying it up on horses and trampling peoples gardens while their hounds kill their pet cats. I wish I'd had a bunch of hounds come into my garden and attack my cat, I'd have been ankle-deep in hound-blood, and any cvunt off a horse who'd tried to stop me would have been put in hospital.

Try and borrow a fox trap of someone?

https://www.trapman.co.uk/fox-trap-seconds.jpg

Then when you catch one (I think by law you have to check them every 24 hours or something) blast the bugger and hopefully it will be sorted.

Saying that though, we had one at our shoot, running for about 6 months and didn't catch one. Couple of badgers, but not fox. Yet we'd still see one when we where out and about.

Catching it and then shooting it is not nice.

If youre gonna catch it, catch it and take it out in the woods, and let it go outta the cage.

If you're gonna shoot it, shoot it "on the run".
Don't be shooting that thing inside the cage.

shooting in a cage not nice Neutral

it is far more "humane" to shoot a animal point blank when it cant move than to shoot it while its trying to get away were your extremely likely to not hit a vital area or not close enough for sufficient pentration which will cause the animal to suffer and die slowly.

The most effective solution would be to get twenty of your fat nosed mates, get on top of an animal and chase the petrified thing for miles with a pack of dogs Thumbs Up Hopefully nothing karma related (such as your testicles exploding for example) should happen to you as a result. Rolling Eyes

If they're a pest then shoot 'em you don't have build and "industry", way of life, club, or ritual out killing them.

What always got up my nose was the Normans brought them here to control the rabbit population, brought here by the Romans, and after a thousand years we've got to have an opinion and waste tax payers money debating it.

Lovely creatures up there with Badgers in my opinion, naturalized now, by-gones.

I dont quite believe that fox hunts killed that many foxes so we are now in danger of being over run with foxes.

On the other hand, all sorts of inhumane ways of killing animals are legal so the objection to killing animals for fun was more about taste than animal rights.

i tend not to get into debates about hunting or wild pests etc but.....................................

the problems are our own making, we leave food stuffs lying about because on the whole we are scruffy bastards, animals have learnt to exploit it, we know about expoitation yet wont tolerate it from other species, if we dont want wildlife whether it is badgers, foxes seagulls or rats etc then it should be our responsibility to maintain our livestock or food waste in such conditions that we dont encourage this scavenging.
