I have my eye on this: clicky for autotrader link

I went to see it today and it looks to be in very good nick, I was just wanting to know if anyone has any experience with them - any potential problems to look out for.
Also what do you think about the price?

good looking bike Thumbs Up

tad on the expensive side.

my bro got a 2000 reg cb500 for £1000 in excellent condition

you probly could get something as good/better for alot cheaper.

I have a Super Four, personally i love it, but i have got bored of it fairly quickly, now looking at a ZX7R, but its still fairly quick, as its a Honda it has a bullet proof engine. Sounds very nice with the ART can on. tank range, fairly good, but does eat fuel i think on the motorway (this maybe because mine is restricted)

Overall i like it, good looking bike, and handles well Thumbs Up

well i believe mine is something like 54, but i don't know if that is because of the Jap restricted ( this is over come by adding a KPH-MPH converter) But I'm not sure, i think its a similar engine to a CBR 400? but I'm not to sure

hi all... If you have read my posts before you will be aware that i sold my Bandit. I had it a a commuter that had the guts to use motorways. It did that well but it was a tad too tall for me so i am using my cruiser all the time now. Thing its a bit to long and need to much space to park it... I quite like the look of this Honda and wondered whatd the top end of it and how tall is the seat compared to a bandit or Fazor
Cheers Tony

I've got an older model without the V-TEC

The electrics are a bit of a weak point - reg/recs especially like to go pop and can take out the battery as well.

They are pretty well screwed together though IMHO.

That one seems bloomin' expensive tho. - why not consider an older model or even the earlier CB-1 which has gear driven cams, is less retro styled but with a monoshock.

there may be some for sale here https://www.400greybike.co.uk - the forum is still open although the main site is down.

had one, very good bikes fairly nippy, had an indicated 120 out of mine.

They put out about 52bhp and do sound very nice with race cans only gripes are as above really as well as:

Shocks on the older ones are far to soft

the newer ones have slightly stiffer shocks and obviously Vtec

Just before I temporarily gave up biking, I was going to buy one of these and I think when I start again this will be the bike I will have, even though I have rode a 600 Bandit, the superfour seems more fun.

Most of all it has such good lines, looks sexy as.

The V reg is nice, but £2,500 is a lot on a naked 400.

Just looking at some on autotrader, some lovely versions with less than 15,000 miles on them for about £1,500.

Tempting. Laughing

My CG was in M&S a couple of weeks ago, and I was eyeing up that very bike.
It looks damn good, but not at that price. It's worth maybe 1800 tops. In fact, everything in M&S seems to have a 20% premium even on top of expected dealer markup.

I also have a CB400 SuperFour. Mine seems ok on fuel and i've had an (indicated) 120mph from it with the kmh/mph converter fitted. Mines off the road for the min as its being painted and needs a new shocker but the engine is sound. Had it serviced not so long ago and runs like a dream.

I got a silver ART can on mine as well Blackwolf, sound lovely dont they Thumbs Up

I would say that ones a far bit expensive though...

Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone has had any trouble with, or knows of any trouble with the clutch on these bikes, and if so, what was the problem and what did you do to fix it.

Mine feels strange at the minute, and need a bit of help!!

Thanks.
