Hmm opinions please, looking at the new 03 GSX-R1000.

Currently have a RVF400 , am I insane to upgrade to this bike, I just like the look of it soooo much.

Well, you dont ride like a nutter like most of us, your insurance would be ok. Quite a major difference in the power. however as long as your gonna be sensible on it

If you want to get a Gixer thou based upon the looks of the new one, then yes, you are kinda mad...but if you just generally want to get a Gixer thou, then I don't any problem with that

You can probably pick up new K1 and K2 models for less than most new sports 600s.

I don't think people go and buy such a bike just for the looks. There are pleanty of good looking bikes that maybe arn't as suicidle (sp?).
Although if you're sensible i guess there isn't a major problem.

stange, most places are interested in having the cash right then as well. if they realise that you actually want to give them it there and then, then most places would wake up at that point.

If you can definately afford to insure a brand new GSXR1000 then go for it. I know a lot of even old guys with no claims etc have trouble finding a decent quote on the gixxer thou
