Probably, but thats people for you. To be honest I couldn't work out what the bloke was on about.

I reported it anyway just for the fact he had the video in his listing.

Even if this is genuine, profiteering out of the tragic death of Craig Jones, is quite frankly sick.

Don't some people have any f@#king thought and feelings.

Could well be one of his other helmets auctioned off at some racing weekend in WSB/BSB? I can see the custom airbrush towards the sides but you'd need a long hard look other angles.

It's tragic, but i can see him being genuine. I'd rather not start to be a cynic, but for some people, it might be out of respect to buy his lid, rather than trying to sell it on for a quick buck?

EDIT: didn't actually see the video link - yeah. that's completely unnecessary. Like many people suggested, they should have led the link onto his official website and book of condolences instead if anybody intending to buy the genuine article wanted to lend their support and honour him.

What's Graeme Gowland's got to do with it? Confused

Quite tasteless, I'd say.

obviously somebody like us has spotted it and is using a 2nd fake account to piss the seller off.

at least it means no other buyer can possibly buy it Thumbs Up

If you win this auction aren't u binded legally to pay the amount to the seller?

If someone won something off me for 10mil then i think i would run over hot coal to get it.

Also this started at £250... :S

Dickheads pushing the bidding up. Rolling Eyes

Why do somepeople think that they're the eBay police?

There's nothing wrong with selling an old lid of his, would have though most sportsmen would be quite proud if after they died, their possessions had value to collectors or diehard fans.

As bad as it might be the way they're linking to the vid of his crash, isn't the person who uploaded it youtube 'worse' than someone who's linking to it?

Surely if his reasons for selling it were genuine he's maybe donate the proceeds to a relevant charity . . . maybe. I think I would.

Is it, though, an old lid of his? Or just a similar one where somebody's added some stickers?

It's difficult to judge when the seller hasn't shown other angles of the lid. Richart would have probably sprayed in their logos somewhere on the front/sides if it were genuine. On another note I should have gone to knock hill today because they were doing a huge Jonesy tribute there between the races (11AM i think).

No idea, presumably serious buyers would ask the seller questions and would be able to come to their own conclusion as to if it's genuine or not.

But no, some dickheads consider themselves the self appointed eBay police and pushed the bidding right up. Rolling Eyes
