Another biker has been killed in the North East, it's that time of year when both the mornings and evenings become darker and darker making it more dangerous for bikers riding at high speed.

Just a quick message to everyone, it's better to be safe than sorry, watch what you're doing and take it easy!

Another loss Thumbs Down

Just take it easy

Lots of deaths in Bristol recently, probably something to do with the low sun at this time of the year.

Just because its sunny doesn't mean you can be seen, sometimes it's even more difficult to be seen.

Ride safe

Seems that they were more bothered about the traffic jams that it caused.

I have rule about riding in the dark:

I never exceed 70mph. If cars want to go faster I let them go. Crying or Very sad

To true, Alec. Thumbs Up

Be very careful, guys. Overtaking into oncoming traffic that is
heading into low-rising/setting sun adds an extra risk. I saw
drivers with their hands up shielding their eyes this evening,
when I was out on the bike.

Oh dear, how sad. Still, here's a picture of the Dead Biker monument to cheer you up...

Stick to the limit and 9/10 times you'll be fine.

Sadly, a lot of riders seem to think they're invulnerable.

And be careful on the smaller back roads with all the fallen leaves
etc that are now around. Wink

I didn't think the speed limit on an NSL road was 15mph...

You're talking out of your arse, I mostly ride like an utter twat and through London. I've had 5 crashes in total and 4 of them I was doing under the speed limit and being perfectly sensible. The other I was inexperienced and took a corner too quick but still under the speed limit.

If I ride like a twat there is less chance things will hit me as I'm usually past them before they can.

I'd ridden at treble the limit and usually ride and double the limit and never came off doing those speeds.
