AFAIK a rally is where you get involved with a load of other bikers ( meet up at a pre- agreed point) and go for a big ride out.

We just had a scooter rally round here where 1500 Vespas and Lambrettas went for a ride at the same time Smile

Thing is - doesn't this mean that a ride with your mates is a rally too? You meet up with other bikers and go for a ride......

A Rally is any organised event designed for bikers. As it's generally held on private ground and can include biking other than normal road use they tend not to cover you if you bin it. At one I went to last year we were sledging by towing behind bikes.
Some guy on a new GSXF6 binned it and a few more ended up down in the river/hedge while slightly pissed Very Happy

Now that sounds like some serious fun, me and some mates normally buy a stock of them plastic sledges then throw ourselves down the steepest muddiest hills for a laugh. Only prob is you have to climb back up them.
