R1 Rear seat assy
Stage 3 Dyno Jet

as it looks now

https://www.corsasport.co.uk/carimages/7882/8855_3.JPG

Plans are

TL 1000 USD front forks/wheel/calipers
Twin head lights
Wavy discs
Wider rear wheel/tyre
Adjust Rear subframe lower (too high for my liking)
Decent of handle bars
Clocks!
Clean engine up
Polish bits!!
General tidy up
Gold engine bolts
Black Fram
Pearl White paint job
NOS bottle!

only thing is the rear wheel looks tiny compared to the r1 tail, needs alot wider tyre/wheel

been told a vfr750 wheel will fit if you fill the holes and machince out the centre to get to fit

any other ideas all comments welcome

I agree with Mac_Kaliba...the rear end is super mega fugly and needs changing pronto.

Chrome mudguards, alloy tank, ace bars or clip ons and a hand built single seat unit...cafe racering is the bollocks!

Ooooh the ever common R1 tail *sigh*

Lose the arse end, lose the VFR wheel. Why does it look so empty in the engine department, is it supposed to be a frame for a 12 or something?

The tail unit is well too long.

Other than that it's not so bad.

no point removing the single swinging arm.

i like the r1 tail, apart from whats been stated about to high and too long

engine bay looks empty because it have K&N's and no airbox

does any one no what forks fit? iv heard TL 1000 ones bolt straight on? what about handle bars??

Cut the tail behind the seat and just leave it so the back wheel is exposed, different forks are a must as are matching wheels.

Sat on anything with a tail like that? Its actually not really that high, i've seen higher an still liked it, i'd keep it as is if it was mine, just mod it more, an nice tail never seen anything other than shitty units off dukes or MV's... yawn... I'd sort out a set of matching rims, like dymags or something an a set of USD forks an just tune the engine an uprate the braking system then tart it up some more. Thumbs Up

A set of Dymags will cost more than he paid for the bike!

Bike looks good.

All I'd do is get the frame powder coated black. And get all the plastics sprayed after you've lowered the seat unit to a more 'R1' angle.

Maybe a belly pan and some subtle decals.

I'd just finish it off by spraying the engine/frame black, & the fairings in one colour, bright red or Kawi green would look nice.

Looks stunning tho, how easy are the seat units to put on Bandits? Usually see a lot of Ducati rear ends on them. Thumbs Up

It's also a terrible photoshop.

The original bike did look ridiculous but not quite that bad.

How'd you get a R1 subframe to weld on...they're aluminium arnt they and bandits frame is steel. When I wanted to switch sub frame people told me it was really hard to attach alum to steel?

I slid my bandit about a month ago, been doing it up ever since, completely stripped back so proper naked now and looks well mean. I'll get some pics tomoz and start a topic...might give some ideas.

By the way....if you have bags of money to throw at it....GET SOME NEW FRONT BRAKES. I've got a 99 bandit 600 and even with new pads and calipers they were wank. I couldnt stop as quick as my mates with new bikes...kind of the reason I crashed...also partly cause i'm a fool Very Happy
