TV Recorder ? Hard Drive ?

What i want to do is record the xbox from the tv - i need to know what i would need to do this in order to get the footage onto my pc for editing - any ideas ?

EDIT: i actually have a xbox to usb recorder ( dazzle thingie ) but it's useless for recording live action as theres a 2-3 second delay between the controls and the tv image .
It's great for recording replays but useless when playing a game on live.

So how can i fix this - any ideas ?

I'm sure there is an easer way but a dvd recorder connected to the tv should do it.Then put the dvd into the pc.

Route the output from your xbox into a DVD/HDD recorder and then from the DVD/HDD recorder to the TV.

Set the TV to the recorder channel and select the correct input channel, so that you can see the xbox - you should now be able to record everything that you do on the xbox
