Yay, new bike (well new to me anyway Very Happy )
It's an 1980 CB250RS which is a nice upgrade from the ped anyways.
Not bad considering it cost me £350 and came with a years MoT and tax.
The single cylinder makes a real sweet sound, a lot nicer than the hair dryer ped.

I'm planning to keep until the end of the summer when I can earn some more money. It makes a decent learner/commuter bike and is good fun so far.

btw, I'm planning to give it a mini service, what suggestions do you guys have. What should i check, whats worth replacing, etc
So far I've only spent about a 5er buying a clock and i dont want to spend too much doing it up.

Not much to look at, but I thaught i would put some pictures up anyway Razz

change the oil every 800 miles and don't hold it for long periods over 8000 rpm, the top end suffers from oil starvation if you do it.

air filter needs cleaning occasionally, and the valves should really be done every 5000 miles, there easy to do.

and and flat bars help a shitload, you may find that the head wiggles a fair bit with the standard ones.

best tyres for it are dunlop K82s.

Can anyone think of any reasons why i can't get more than 75 out of it (should do 85-90), maybe just a good service is called for.

they only really do 75. i could get mine up to something around 80 on the motorway with the needle going crazy, and craig said it did 90 once - but thats the NSR speedo, which is a tad optimistic.
